About

Nick Whitecross is a Songwriter and Producer, currently developing artists for KTP Music.

He has over twenty years of experience in the music business comprising:

  • Member of Kissing the Pink who scored various hits around the world including a No.1 in America. The band worked with Martin Hannett (Joy Division, Happy Mondays), Colin Thurston (David Bowie) and Peter Walsh (Scott Walker), toured with The Police and gained a considerable reputation as Producers in their own right.

The band signed to Magnet Records and subsequently to Warner Brothers. The band recorded six albums and toured the world.

  • As a Writer, Nick has worked with Jem, A-Ha, Martin Terefe (James Morrison, Shea Sager, Jason Mraz),Sasha Scarbek, X-Press 2, K-Klass(the dance classic,’ Let Me Show You’), Sandy Stewart (Fleetwood Mac), Jon Hall (Candy Dulpher,The Shamen), Tyrone Wells(Universal)
  • Consultant to Apod Music(applying the principles of human growth and psychology to organisations and individuals)
  • Nick is a Producer at KTP Studios and Kensal Town Studios, developing artists, recording and writing. He is signed to Bucks Music Group.

Nick studied at the London School of Economics, has a B.Sc (Econ)hons. in Politics and History. Originally planning to be a journalist he worked a research assistant at the House of Commons, before continuing his studies at the University of the Americas in Mexico, majoring in International Relations. While in Mexico he started writing songs and playing in various bands. Returning to England he founded Kissing the Pink with Jon Hall and Peter George Stewart.

Nick teaches meditation in London and at the Osel Institute in Goa, India.
